  1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana): This foundational pose may look simple, but it is a great way to improve posture and strengthen your legs and core. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, grounding down through all four corners of your feet. Engage your thighs, lift your chest, and roll your shoulders back and down.

  2. Downward Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana): This popular pose is excellent for stretching the entire body while building strength in the arms and legs. Start on your hands and knees, then lift your hips up and back, forming an upside-down V shape with your body. Press firmly into your hands and heels while lengthening through your spine.

  3. Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I): Warrior poses are empowering and help to improve balance and focus. From a standing position, step one foot back and turn it out at a 45-degree angle. Bend your front knee to a 90-degree angle, keeping it stacked over your ankle. Reach your arms up towards the sky, keeping your chest lifted.

  4. Child's Pose (Balasana): A gentle resting pose that stretches the back, hips, and thighs, Child's Pose is perfect for relaxing and relieving stress. Kneel on the mat, then sit back on your heels as you extend your arms forward and lower your chest towards the ground. Rest your forehead on the mat and breathe deeply.

  5. Tree Pose (Vrikshasana): This balancing pose is great for improving stability and focus. Stand tall with your weight on one foot, then lift the other foot and place it on the inner thigh or calf of the standing leg. Press your foot into your leg and bring your hands to prayer position at your heart. These poses are just a starting point for your yoga practice in Tel Aviv. We recommend joining one of our classes at My Chappell to receive guidance from experienced instructors and deepen your practice. Remember to listen to your body, breathe deeply, and enjoy the journey of discovering the transformative benefits of yoga.
